Road Safety Inspection has been conducted for the state road sections, in Central Serbia, and total length is approximately 113 km.


Project description

Road Safety Inspection for the state roads that are located on the territory maintained by company „Putevi Čačak“. As a part of this assignment Road Safety Inspection (RSI) is conducted on IB and IIA category state roads. Total length of the road sections analyzed is approximately 113km. Main goal of this assignment is to identify all shortcomings of the road that could potentially have an adverse impact on the road safety of the analyzed sections, and to propose measures to eliminate or reduce risk and severity of traffic accidents.

As an end result of the assignment measures for improving road safety on the road sections are proposed as short-term, mid-term and long-term measures. For each measure cost estimate is provided together with expected effects it will have on the road safety.

  • Collection and analysis of all relevant data (traffic flow data, traffic accidents data, previous designs and studies etc.),
  • Field survey,
  • Interviews with local police and entity in charge of road section maintenance, and
  • Preparation of final reports with proposed measures.
